1. How do I apply for a position to work with Kings Camps UK?

If you’ve heard a glowing report about Kings from a current staff member or have simply stumbled across our awesome UK roles and opportunities on our site, don’t hesitate – apply now and see where the experience takes you.

To apply,  simply complete an online profile here:  www.kingsrecruit.com/apply. It’s a straightforward process and only takes a few moments!

2. When is the best time to apply?

There is no better time than now! For UK positions we recruit for specific seasons including, Easter, summer and some half-term school holidays. Keeping your profile up-to-date is a great way of increasing your chances of being selected.

3. What type of opportunities do you offer in the UK?

The majority of our opportunities are seasonal roles with Kings Camps. With over 50 locations in the UK and camps during the school holidays, we have a variety of positions available, ranging from Site Manager to Multi-Sports Coach. We also recruit sports-specific specialists who hold Level 2 qualifications in things like swimming, cricket, football, dance and cheerleading.

4. I have completed my profile, now what do I do?

Once you have completed an online profile, you don’t need to do anything! Based on the preferences you have selected, when suitable positions become available you will be contacted via phone or email by one of our lovely team. It’s as easy as that!

5. I have applied to work for Kings via the online application but have not received a response, when will I hear from you?

We receive around 20,000 applications each year meaning we can’t respond to everyone so we apologise in advance if you don’t hear from us. The good news is with our new application system you don’t need to apply year after year, all you need to do is make sure your profile is always up to date! We’re always looking for good people who stand out from the crowd, love working with children and want an amazing experience. Your profile is the way to show us that’s you!

6. Can I send Kings Recruit my CV?

The short answer is no!

Our IT team have worked painstakingly to make sure our application process is as efficient as possible. Their hearts would be broken if they knew we were not using it! So please complete an online profile via www.kingsrecruit.com/apply

7. I don’t want to fill out an application on Facebook because I am putting sensitive information on the application. Is there another way to apply to work for you?

We understand that at first when you see the Facebook logo you may get slightly nervous! Rest assured, however, that your information is only stored on our servers and is not viewable to anyone else on Facebook.  If you still do not wish to apply using this method then you can click the button on the main application page which says ‘Click here to get started without using Facebook’.

8. I have completed an online profile, how do I log back in to view it?

If you have completed your profile via Facebook then firstly log into your Facebook profile.  Once on your homepage you should see an Apps section on the left hand side of your screen.  Click the ‘Kings Recruit’ App and this will take you through to your profile.  Alternatively, if you did not originally use Facebook you can log in by following this link, https://profile.kingsrecruit.com/

9. Is there a minimum age to work for Kings?

Yes there is, you must be at least 18 years old for UK opportunities.  At 18, candidates are able to complete a 2 or 3 week work placement with Kings Camps. At the end of this period you are assessed by a manager and if successful we can offer you paid work in future seasons.

10. I would like to carry out a work placement with Kings, is this possible?

Kings Recruit have work placement opportunities with our partner Kings Camps. You must be at least 18 years old and have a desire to work with children in a sporting environment. To apply complete an application profile via www.kingsrecruit.com/apply.

11. What qualifications and experience do I need for UK work?

To sum it up a PHD…we’re kidding! Depending on the position you are applying for, we look for at least one of the following qualifications;

All candidates who apply for our general multi-sports coach positions should have experience of delivering a range of sport to children aged between 4 and 14 years old.

12. What location preferences should I select?

If you want to work in the UK, please select your ideal UK location as your first preference followed by areas that you could also reach by car or public transport. For example, if you live in Birmingham then your location preferences might be:

1.Birmingham

2.Bromsgrove

3. Coventry

Please do not put location preferences on your application that you are not able to work in…..you would be surprised how often this happens!

13. Do Kings Camp have a venue close to me?

14. Do you provide accommodation for staff members or reimburse travel costs?

With the exception of a few residential programmes, our UK opportunities are non-residential and therefore we do not provide accommodation. We do not reimburse travel costs and therefore you have to be willing and able to commute to your chosen camp on a daily basis.

15.  I do not live in the UK but would like to come and work for you, is this possible?

This may be possible but only if you have accommodation in travelling distance of a Kings Camp and are eligible to work within the UK. Please contact us using the email link below.

16. What pre-employment requirements do I have to complete?

Child welfare is our number one priority and therefore all Kings Camps staff must be interviewed, provide professional and personal references, complete an identity and enhanced disclosure check with the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS, or equivalent for Scottish Residents) and, depending on your role, we may need to see proof of any specialist qualifications you hold. You will also receive market-leading on-line and on-site training covering customer care, child protection, child supervision, dynamic session development (and much more) before starting the role.
