We’re looking for an IT enthusiast to join our team in Sheffield, where you’ll get to develop your IT skills while helping children across the UK to get active, have fun and learn together.
You’ll be part of a small dynamic head office team that’s committed to our very real mission of using sport and activity to enrich the lives of children and young people and help them to fulfil their potential. We provide activity camps for children, employment opportunities for young people, professional services to the leisure industry and training and resources for volunteers.
The IT intern position is an opportunity to learn and develop skills with a wide variety of software and hardware, including website and social media. It provides support for a number of departments in the organisation as well as working directly with the IT Manager and software developers.
Serving a young market, we constantly need to update and develop our systems, use the latest technologies and integrate with new online services.
Our main systems are web-based using PHP and MySQL hosted on Amazon AWS using Docker EC2 and RDS. We integrate these with authentication services from Microsoft Azure and our head office systems use a Windows domain on Hyper-V architecture.
This is a full-time role (Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm), based at our Sheffield Head Office, reporting to the Head of Design and Development.
Salary Guide: £16,000 to £18,000 dependent on experience and qualifications.
To apply, please email Sam Hay with your CV and the reasons why you’d be great for this role at firstname.lastname@example.org
