Site Manager
A King's Camps site manager has overall responsibility for managing a King's Camp venue for a holiday season; Easter camp, summer camp or October half term camp. The site manager's primary role is to lead and motivate their sports coaching team to achieve the highest levels of care, organisation, sports coaching, health and safety, while providing children with a fun and enjoyable holiday camp experience.

Site Manager - Skills Match
- Ideal candidates will be PE or primary teachers, those studying towards becomming a PE teacher or individuals with significant sports coaching experience.
- Experience of working with and managing a team and working with children of all ages, especially children under the age of 8 is essential, along with motivation, commitment and excellent organisational skills.
- Having a current First Aid qualficiation will significantly increase the chance of selection.

- Hours of work are generally between 8am and 4.15pm, during the holidays and will be confirmed by contract.
- Rate of pay is dependant upon contract.
Site Manager - Duties & Responsibilities
- Site managers are responsible for ensuring the health and safety of Children and coaching team - be
fully aware of health and safety policies and ensure both the coaching team and
children follow them strictly.
- Encourage, care and maintain
discipline of children - ensure that the children are cared for and
encouraged, and that the discipline of the children is maintained and
behaviour problems are dealt with sensitively but effectively.
- Create
and maintain a variety of sports, activities, events and themes on camp.
- Create a varied and balanced camp timetable of
sports and fun based activities for Kids Camp. Coordinate Teen Camp,
Xtra Time and house activities, organising and delivering games and
craft activities where necessary.
- Manage, motivate and
develop all members of the staff team and act as a role model to all sports coaches by
setting and maintaining high standards.
- Ensure that the coaching team is
informed, motivated, encouraged, supported and that feedback is given on
their performance. The activity camp manager is also responsible for the training of the coaching team.
- Maintain
good relationships with the members exceeding their expectations by
ensuring excellent customer service is delivered. Ensure the coaching team
takes ownership of problems or questions that arise and that they are
dealt with quickly and effectively.
- Integrate the Rookies effectively - oversee and give opportunities for the achievement of their development plan.
- Ensure
good liaison with, and care of, the venue - build a good working
relationship with the venue contact and ensure the facilities are
treated with care and left clean and tidy at the end of each day.
- Pre
and post camp administration - plan and prepare before the camp starts
and ensure paperwork is completed to specification and deadline.
- Communicate
effectively with head office representatives. Inform head office of any
problems, concerns, accidents and incidents relating to any aspect of
the actvity camp.
- Oversee the management of specialist sports camps, working with the head coach to integrate the programmes effectively.
