Assistant Site Manager
As part of the King's Camps management team the assistant site manager helps the site manager to run the activity camp whilst enjoying significant sport and coaching responsibilities. The assistant site manager's role is to assist the camp manager in their duties and to ensure that high sports coaching standards are maintained and to lead by example at all times.
The assistant site manager is also responsible for supervising and coaching a group of children aged between 4 and 17 years and overseeing the daily extended hours provision, which takes place at the beginning and end of every camp day.

Assistant Site Manager - Skills Match
- Ideal candidates will be studying towards a teaching or PE related degree qualification, hold sports coaching qualifications in at least three sports or have significant sports coaching experience in at least one sport.
- Experience of working with children of all ages, along with motivation, commitment and excellent organisational skills.
- Having a current First Aid qualification will significantly increase the chance of selection.

- Hours of work are generally between 9.45am and 6pm, during the holidays and will be confirmed by contract.
- Rate of pay is dependent upon contract.
Assistant Site Manager - Duties & Responsibilities
- Assistant site managers must support the camp manager, complementing his/her role. Work
with the camp manager in preparing for the activity camp following all policies
and procedures.
- Set an example in ensuring the health and safety of the children being fully aware of health and safety policies
and informing the camp manager of any contravention of policy. Ensure
the children in your group are aware of all risks and relevant safety
policies.
- Welcome children and ensure that they are being
supervised and cared for and any unhappy children are encouraged to join in the activities. Ensure the sports coaches
and yourself are caring for and encouraging the children in their groups.
- Work
closely with the coaching staff team, setting standards and providing guidance
and support as necessary.
- Act as a role model to the coaching team by
setting and maintaining high standards in conduct, behaviour, coaching
and childcare and assist the sports coaches in developing their knowledge and
experience.
- Ensure the safe and effective use of venue
facilities and equipment. Respect the venue facilities and ensure they
are treated with care and left clean and tidy at the end of each day.
- Plan and organise the delivery of an age-specific Xtra Time programme at the beginning and end of each camp day.
- Take responsibility for a group of
age-specific children, planning and preparing structured
sports coaching/activity sessions and taking the role of a ‘Responsible Adult’
in the swimming sessions.
- Manage the activity camp in any short term absence of
the camp manager providing the overall management and up front
leadership of the camp, organising activities, supervising the coaches,
ensuring a commitment to quality sports coaching within a fun, safe
environment, and liaising with parents over concerns arising during the
camp.
