Recruit case study

Becky Thompson

Membership Assistant

I’ve always had a passion for children and have done a lot of work with them over the years. I spent my gap year working at a holiday centre leading children’s activities.

After my degree I signed up with King’s Recruit because I wanted to work for a company that cares about children. I knew that King’s Recruit had a reputation for being passionate about developing young people through sports.

The King’s Recruit team found an office position that matched my administration and customer service skills and phoned me up to ask me for a selection day. On the day we did a group task, a written task and a 1-1 interview. It was actually a really good day and the next day they rang to say I had been chosen for a role with a sports company. Now I work for an activity camp provider taking bookings and answering queries. I really enjoy being in an organisation where the staff care about their job and the difference they make to the children they serve.
